Robby Dilmore his radio name itself is an oxymoron (Christian ar Guy). Robby started working in car dealerships back in 1971, (forty years ago), washing cars. He went from car washer to service, parts, sales and eventually worked up to Dealer Principle of a Chrysler Dodge Jeep Store in 1998, where he was when God called him to start The Christian Car Guy Radio Show in January 2006Robby saw first hand the good the bad and the ugly of automobile service, parts, sales and finance business, and now The Lord has provided him with a chance to help folks around the world.
In May of 2008 the idea for Robby’s Hobbies was born out of Andy Dease the plummer wanted to come on the Christian Car Guy show, not really fitting into that format Andy asked if a new show with a broader format could be done. Robby and Stu Epperson met and talked about a show that would allow all comers who God was working with. Many names were talked about, but since Andy was the orginal sponsor and he coined Robby’s Hobbies, so it started.
The First Show airing May 3rd, 2008. Since that time literally hundreds of guests have shared how God took their passion and used it to build the Kingdom, from windsurfers who teach at Christian camps, to triplets who do chalk paintings God has blessed us all by showing all of us how we can use the talents he has given us to work in His vineyard.
Robby has been married 22 years to his wife Tammy and has three Children, Robby III, Tess and Mariah, they are members of Calvary Baptist Church in Winston Salem
